Lesya MATSKO
Film director | Author

Lesya MATSKO is a film director, author, producer and multimedia artist, who works on films, video art projects, animations, commercials and other media-related projects.
After graduating from the University of Cinema, Kiev, Lesya Matsko attended La Femis cinema school, Paris (Atelier Archidoc). She also obtained a MASTER as a film director, scriptwriter and producer at the ESRA film school in Paris and attended the Atelier des Beaux-Arts (analog photography department).
Lesya Matsko got the Grand of the President for her first short film, and the Grant of the French Government. She is the Member of the National Union Cinematographers (Ukraine).
Learning film directing and obtaining several grants from the Ministry of culture, collaborating with Museums, such as Center Pompidou in Paris and Jewish Museum in New York, Lesya Matsko started to work as a film director and producer on various films and theater productions.
Her love for films and photography materialized in the form of a film director career. Kiev and Paris vibrant cultural life proved to be the perfect place to explore many different creative alleys.
Director's background is based on experience in the field of: cinema, documentaries, video art creation; collaboration with contemporary art museums, audiovisual content creation for numerous fashion brands and designers.
Lesya Matsko's projects have been heard in numerous festivals worldwide such as World Underwater Film Festival (Antibes), Kustendorf film Festival (Mokra Gora, Serbia), International Cinema & Art Film Festival (NYC), Molodist International Film Festival (Kiev), Raindance (London), Berlinale (Berlin), International Film Festival (Singapore), Moscow International Film Festival (Moscow), Short Film Corner – Cannes Film Festival, New York Art Film Festival (NYC), etc...
